What led you to a career in product development?

While studying psychology, I realized how many products seemed like they were designed without consideration for the user and how people interact with products in the real world. I wanted to help design better devices to ensure the process is seamless and enjoyable – you can have the most technologically advanced product, but if people do not know how to use it or get frustrated using it, are you doing the product or technology justice?

Through Human Factors Engineering and User Experience Research, we can help clients create products that customers enjoy using and involve a seamless user experience.

What excites you most about your job?

I love working with clients to help deliver the best product for their company and their market. Working with different clients on varied technical challenges is always exciting, as we never are facing the same problem twice. Being in a collaborative, cross discipline environment ensures the solutions we are creating are not just technically feasible, but also desirable from both a design and user experience perspective.

Where is the best place you’ve traveled to and why?

Each place I have traveled to has been amazing in their own regard. Since I can’t pick a favorite, the last place I traveled to was to Taiwan for a couple of weeks, which was an amazing experience. Since it was my first time in Asia, the culture and food were entirely new to me. The food was delicious, the people were friendly, and there were plenty of activities to do.

What have you always wanted to do but never have?

There is a long list of travel related adventures that are still on my wishlist – I would love to go see the Great Barrier Reef in Australia, swim with sharks in cape town, running with the bulls in Spain, climb Mt. Aconcagua in Argentina, see all the national parks in the US. The list keeps going on…..
