The panel conversation centered on minimally invasive surgery and its compelling benefits compared to the more traditional surgery. Panelists discussed the benefits which included faster patient recovery, reduced risk of infection, and lower healthcare costs.

Panelists’ backgrounds included several years in ophthalmology, medical device product development and commercialization, orthopedics, therapeutic and diagnostic devices, and experience in both startups and large medical device companies.
