The Cascadia Venture Forum (CVF) is a premier early stage investment forum for health innovation startups in Vancouver, Portland and Seattle.

CVF brings together fundraising CEOs, angel investors, venture capitalists, industry participants, and other health innovation ecosystem members from along the Cascadia Innovation Corridor, providing the opportunity for dialogue and relationship building, with the goal of eventual capital allocations for PNW startups.

In their three regional events, top companies from each session are invited to present at The Summit in Seattle each year. The 2nd Annual Event was held at Cambia Grove on Wednesday, November 15.

This year, our team was honored to present "Behind the Scenes with MedTech Innovators." This presentation featured perspectives on innovation pathways from CTO Scott Thielman, the importance of user-centered product design from Lead Usability Engineer Chrissy Glaister, how to organize disparate teams in startup environments from VP of Operations Blake Stancik, and tips on how to create a sales culture for the startup entrepreneur from VP of Business Development Rich Roberge.

Along with a day of networking, food, and insight from though leaders around the industry, the Summit featured presentations from the winners of each regional event, including Concur Oncology, CurvaFix, YouScript, Madorra, Views IQ, Starling Minds, QView Medical, NemaMetrix, Pacific Diabetes Technologies and more.

CVF also produced a video recap of the three regional events with some words from the top startups featured. A great watch for insight into the PNW's health innovation culture.
